Students are housed in host families within walking distance of the school or within a short bus ride. Rathdown will place students with experienced and suitable host families who will treat the student as a family member and not just as a paying guest. Students will have their own room adequately heated, with a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and lamp, etc. Students are encouraged to try and involve themselves in the family routine and family activities as much as possible. Students will receive full board with breakfast, packed lunch and evening dinner.
